If you are sitting on the fence about a choice or decision or even about the way you feel about something, this new moon is a good time to gain some confidence in making a choice and feeling good about the choice you make. 
Use the energy of this moon to be in community, cooperation, inspired conversation, weighing in on others dilemmas in a supportive way as well as listening to others contributions to your own process. This is a good reality check point on where you are with your disciplines and follow through. Are you being practical enough? Or does something need to be refined and adjusted?

Don’t be afraid to take baby steps. It is the consistency that is important in discipline. It is what lets spirit know you are serious about your intentions and your commitment regardless of how simple and small the steps are. A New Moon is always a good time to reset, clear the past and restart the new.

Our Gemini cycle reveals how our thoughts, words, and perceptions highly influence how we see the world.  Gemini’s nimble, quick witted and curious mental abilities love networking and information gathering and connecting us all through news and ideas.  Gemini’s prime function is communication and speeding from place to place.  Fleet-footed Mercury is ruler of the Gemini New Moon cycle lending us adaptability, neutrality and up beat, positive attitudes.  The Twins are the symbol of air sign Gemini, a duality, ruling over the dual systems of the body – the arms, hands, lungs (respiration) and also the neural network of nerves that are our electrical system.  We’re susceptible to anxiety and nervousness.  Best to train the mind to take up the art of positive thinking and the calming and centering effects of deep, focused breathing (respiration).

New Perceptions & Ideas

We are having a New Moon in Gemini on June 13th, 2018 at 7:43 pm Universal Time. Gemini season began May 20th/21st with its ruler Mercury also in Gemini since May 29th. This sign belongs to the Element of Air which is socially and mentally oriented, and is also a mutable sign which has adaptable and spreadable qualities.

Gemini's energy is curious, communicative, articulate, informative, clever, and dualistic. It can also be gossipy, superficial, and inconsistent. Although the majority of this Moon cycle will be occurring while the Sun is in Cancer, the Gemini energy is imprinted onto it, especially influencing the first two weeks up until the next Full Moon.

In the weeks leading to this New Moon, the Gemini Sun, Mercury, and previous Full Moon have been in a hard square with Neptune. There may have been some confusion, scatteredness, miscommunications, or issues with communication technology, especially around June 5th/6th and near the Full Moon from May 28th-30th.

The Neptune energy is now behind us, although its effects may still be lingering, we are now in a period in which Mercury is traveling ahead of the Sun (began after June 5th). We can have a new sense of clarity in which our minds are more aligned with our true needs, and any of the issues mentioned above can be more easily resolved. It is also possible that some of the clarity or resolutions that we experience now may be connected to themes that have been occurring or on our minds since April 1st or even prior.

Just under 24 hours prior to this New Moon, Mercury entered Cancer where it will be until June 28th/29th. Cancer is ruled by the Moon while Gemini is ruled by Mercury, therefore these heavenly bodies are in each other's signs. This is called a 'mutual reception' which is a harmonious configuration between them. Communications and perceptions can become more feeling based, sensitive, personal, and subjective during this time. Our thinking can be more reflective and aligned with what we feel at the gut level, however, since Cancer is a Cardinal sign, decision making can still be quick.

Considering The Big Picture

We are having a Full Moon in Sagittarius on May 29th 2018 at 2:20pm Universal Time. This marks the peak of the Moon cycle which initiated on May 15th when we had a New Moon in Taurus. The energies of a Full Moon may start to become noticeable in the days leading up to it and in the days following, however, it is strongest in the 12 hours before and after. Full Moons also influence how things play out over following two weeks.

As discussed in some of my previous content, Uranus had entered Taurus on May 15th when the last New Moon occurred. It is possible that some of the things that have transpired over the last two weeks may be the beginning of something that will develop and continue to play out for the next 1-2 years.

This depends if Uranus is making strong connections to planets and points in your natal birth chart between now and August. It is possible that there could of been seeds planted or new awareness of something literally occurring on May 15th that may be directly related to how this energy may unfold for you.

Full Moon In Sagittarius Opposite Sun In Gemini
We have been in Gemini season since May 20th/21st which will last until the solstice on June 21st when the Sun enters Cancer. Gemini is an Air sign ruled by Mercury. It is social, communicative, articulate, curious, clever, informative, quick witted, and dualistic. Negatively, it can be gossipy, inconsistent, superficial, insincere, and too much in the mind without consideration of the heart.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius is opposing the Gemini energy. Sagittarius is a Fire sign ruled by Jupiter. It is adventurous, worldly, philosophical, idealistic, jovial, passionate, optimistic, expansive, outspoken, and free spirited. It is also associated with beliefs, travel, publishing, and marketing. Negatively it can be arrogant, preachy, exaggerating, irresponsible, reckless, and can overdo things without taking potential consequences into consideration.

Both Gemini and Sagittarius are both associated with learning, information, and teaching. The difference between the two is that Sagittarius is more broad minded and invested in its own experiential or idealistic perspective. Gemini is more factual with information and details, generally from other sources, but may lack development in its own perspective. Also Gemini represents more of the local and immediate environment, while Sagittarius is the world at large. Both signs can be adaptable yet scattered.

The Sun is aligned with the star Aldebaran and Moon is aligned with Antares which are both known as 'Royal Stars'. I generally only consider major stars when doing natal astrology with clients, but not frequently in my articles because their influence and meaning is not as relatable as other astrological factors. However, this Full Moon being tightly aligned with stars like this is rare and could suggest that some of the oppositional energy can also play out noticeably around us among leaders and influential people.

Full Moon Square Neptune Which Is In A Water Grand Trine
This Full Moon is applying a wide square to Neptune in Pisces. This can stimulate confusion which can also be between our emotional needs and ego needs, or between ourselves and others. It some cases it can debilitate actions, direction, drive, as well as amplify the already potentially scattered energy of the signs involved in this Full Moon. Neptune can also trigger escapism, avoidance, clumsiness, and flaky energy. If you have to do any tasks that are important for you to be mentally attentive, you may need to put extra effort in doing so to avoid problems.

Sagittarius' ruler Jupiter is in a trine with Neptune which strengthens the positive qualities of this planet. This can also be expansive, experiential, and productive with creative, spiritual, or compassionate pursuits. It can even have a magical vibe. Both the Full Moon in Sagittarius and the Neptune configurations work best when we consider the big picture, get out of our heads (when appropriate), overcome our fears, flow with challenges, and trust our intuition/feelings.

It is a good time for reflection, commitment, maturity, honesty and a true honoring of self. Coming on the heels of an introspective, creative and inspired time, this full moon invites us to make a commitment to a new alignment of our values and the intentions that have come out of that alignment.

Pace yourself with whatever energy you have and match your enthusiasm with the rhythm of what is showing up in your life. If it is slow and nourishing, then be slow and go with the flow. If it is greatly energized and accelerated, then step up to meet it. Align yourself to what is showing up and think of life as being effortless instead of a struggle.

These times have brought crises, sudden change, tragedy, shock, challenge and many opportunities for doing things differently, some still yet to be revealed. While holding a compassionate container for the difficulties you and others may be going through, it is also important to keep your eye on the bigger picture and to keep the energy moving forward. Whatever you can do to continue clearing the past and realigning the future is most helpful right now. And remember to trust your intuition. It is the best reality check you have.

Let the Sagittarius Full Moon help shift you into a positive frame of mind.  We can use a boost after the mid-May New Moon intensity.  When the outer, transpersonal planets change signs, we feel it!  Thank goodness it doesn’t happen that often as energetically we have to realign to the new frequency of their expression, i.e. Aries to Taurus; fire to earth sign in the case of Uranus’ recent movement.  

Gemini-Sagittarius can help us with shifting the circuitry of the mind.  Airy Gemini holds the lighter pole of information gathering, networking and moving from place to place.  Fiery Sagittarius on the other hand seeks peace of mind by finding meaning, purpose and understanding of life (called ‘higher mind’ in astro speak).  When Sagittarius begins the dive into a deeper relationship with Spirit through listening (meditation/prayer) and communicating their TRUTH (beyond the social enthusiasm they are so good at), they find the far horizons and adventure they seek.  Here’s where their strong intuition is such an asset, and when they learn to trust it, it frees the overactive mind from creating a bog of anxious worry.
